just installed debian...

...and i am already missing the sound editing apps i was using in windows, specifically sound forge and sony acid pro.
can anyone recommend some good replacement programs for linux?

    You will want to look at Audacity and Beast, as another poster wrote. You may want to post a similar message at linuxaudio.tribe.net too.

    Personally, I am an Arour user, which is more geared toward multi-track recording. I don't do a whole lot of sound editing and/or looping and have found that Audacity hadles most everything I need in that area. I don't think it has all the bells and whistles that Acid has though.
